Frequently asked questions
Does Provengine work offline?
Yes. The field app opens without a connection, the task list is stored on the device, and completed forms and photos are written to a queue. When connectivity returns the queue sends itself in order; no answer has to be re-entered.
How is work proved to be done?
Each task definition carries a proof rule: how many photos are required and which questions must be answered. The field worker fills in the form and takes the photo, and a submission that does not meet the rule is refused. A manager then approves it, or sends it back with a reason.
How do I send the same job to 40 stores?
You write the definition once and target a tag in the assignment rule — for example every team tagged 'store'. The scheduler produces a separate task for each team; nothing has to be copied message by message.
How do deadlines work across time zones?
A deadline is computed in each team's own time zone. A rule of '09:00 every morning' lands at local 09:00 for the store in Istanbul and the one in Berlin; head office's clock does not make one of them late.
What task types are there?
Three: a simple task (marked done), a task with questions (a form is filled in), and a task with sub-steps (each step is closed on its own). Photo proof can be required in all three.
How long is my data kept?
Task records and photos are kept for 24 months by default; an organisation can set this between 3 and 120 months. Records past their retention are removed in a periodic destruction run, and every run is written to a destruction log.
Can I export my own data or delete my account?
Yes. From the account screen you can download your own data in a machine-readable format and request account deletion. Deletion waits 30 days and can be cancelled during that time.
